Education Materials

Development Status

Updated April 2026: I am in the process of building this out revised content structure/alignment, but wanted to share my vision for where I’m headed. See below.

How the content will be organized (reference diagram below)

  • Topic Reference Guides provide a structured overview of a focus area (e.g., Retirement), outlining the key considerations, decision points, and tradeoffs at play
  • Visual Frameworks expand on specific topics within a reference guide, presenting the logic in a quick, easy-to-digest format
  • Interactive Tools let you apply the concepts directly. Where a relevant tool exists, I’ll link to it. Where one doesn’t, I’ll build it.

What the library will cover

  • Rent vs. buy and other major lifestyle tradeoffs
  • Mortgage decisions and opportunity cost
  • Cash flow, balance sheet, and debt strategies
  • Retirement income and portfolio drawdown
  • Sequence of returns risk and withdrawal design
  • Tax characterization, AGI vs. MAGI, and income stacking
  • Roth vs. traditional decisions and conversion windows
  • Healthcare planning, ACA subsidies, HSAs, and education funding
  • Account structure, early access rules, and asset location
  • Portfolio construction, diversification, and timing risk
  • Insurance, annuities, and risk protection
  • Estate planning considerations
  • Modeling uncertainty, probabilities, and decision quality

The goal

A fully paired information and education system.  Topic reference guides will introduce areas for consideration relevant to each topic, visual frameworks will explain how decisions are structured and why the model works the way it does, and tools will provide a method to experiment with numbers.
